Job description

AV Commissioning Engineer

Coventry

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000

Benefits:

Working Hours:

08:00 – 17:30 | Monday - Friday

The Company:

A full-service AV integrator delivering high tech audio visual systems to the education and corporate sectors. With multiple offices across the UK, this allows for all employees to work solely within their local areas with a fantastic ethos around work-life balance.

Job Purpose Summary:

To carry out the testing and commissioning of AV systems within educational and corporate premises throughout the Midlands and Mid Wales area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Testing installed AV systems ensuring they are working correctly.
  2. Fault finding and troubleshooting any issues with installed systems.
  3. Configuration of control systems and DSPs where required.
  4. Uploading pre-written programmes onto control systems.
  5. Attend occasional service & maintenance visits.
  6. Provide on-site training for clients, showing them how to best utilise the installed equipment.
  7. Handover to client, gaining sign off on completion.

Qualities and Skills Required:

  1. 1+ years experience as a Commissioning Engineer or in a similar role.
  2. Strong knowledge of audio visual control systems such as Crestron, Extron, and AMX.
  3. Strong knowledge of audio DSPs such as Biamp, QSYS, and Shure.
  4. Full right to work in the UK.

Qualities and Skills Preferred:

  1. A Full UK Driving License would be preferred but isn’t essential.
  2. CTS certification.
  3. Manufacturer certificates in any of the above control systems or DSPs.

Package:

Salary between £30K - £50K (DOE), overtime rates up to 2X, bonuses paid twice a year, private healthcare, company van & fuel card, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, tools and laptop.
