Job summary

Matchtech seeks an experienced Autonomy Solution Architect for a senior contract within the defence and security sector. Based in the UK with hybrid working, you will own the end-to-end technical solution for an advanced autonomy platform, supporting development and deployment of autonomous systems from concept through to operational service.

You will lead architecture decisions across software, autonomy, safety, cyber security and verification activities, mentoring engineers and coordinating

Qualifications

• Significant experience architecting and delivering autonomy or safety-critical systems.
• Proven ability to translate stakeholder needs into robust technical solutions.
• Experience defining modular architectures, interfaces and software integration strategies.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the architecture for an advanced autonomy platform, including onboard systems and mission management.
• Define system interfaces, APIs, data models, telemetry architectures and non-functional requirements.
• Translate customer requirements and product priorities into technical roadmaps and deliverable capability increments.
• Lead architectural decisions across software, autonomy, communications, safety and cyber security domains.
• Develop concepts of operation and design assumptions for deployment.
• Define and govern virtual integration, simulation, and testing environments (SIL/HIL).
• Lead verification, validation, integration, trials and deployment activities with traceability from requirements to release.
