Job summary

Addington Ball is seeking a Personal Tax Senior to own a portfolio of private client clients, handling compliance and advisory elements. You will manage the end-to-end workflow, stay on top of deadlines, and liaise directly with HMRC while growing advisory exposure.

The role offers autonomy from day one, with mentorship from Directors and Managers, and potential development toward CTA. Hybrid working is available to suit client needs.

Qualifications

• Solid personal tax compliance experience and confidence managing your own portfolio.
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients and HMRC.
• Able to take ownership of deadlines and workflow without close supervision.
• ATT qualification would be ideal, though strong qualified-by-experience candidates will be equally considered.
• Interested in developing further into private client advisory work.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a portfolio of personal tax clients and their compliance requirements.
• Manage your return workflow, tracker and key deadlines.
• Build direct client relationships and liaise with HMRC.
• Identify tax planning and advisory opportunities arising from compliance work.
• Support more complex private client work, including Trusts, Estates and IHT matters.
