Job summary

NEMS Community Benefit Services is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Practitioner to deliver autonomous clinical care across its urgent care services in the region. The role combines telephone and face-to-face consultations within Integrated Urgent Care settings, with some remote work after induction as KPIs and governance standards are met.

You will assess, manage and discharge patients with undifferentiated urgent care presentations, escalating where necessary and contributing to service

Qualifications

• Registered clinician with NMC/HCPC.
• Experience in urgent care settings and flexible clinical delivery.
• Ability to work across multiple NEMS sites and shifting priorities.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, consent and information governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous Urgent Care Practitioner services across NEMS urgent care sites, delivering both telephone and face-to-face consultations.
• Assess, diagnose, treat and safely discharge or refer patients with undifferentiated urgent care presentations.
• Make safe decisions on admission, transfer, referral and safety-netting within local pathways and governance requirements.
• Prescribe, review and advise medicines within independent non-medical prescribing scope and maintain clear clinical records.
