Job summary

SPAICE is building geospatial intelligence and autonomous navigation systems for vehicles in GNSS-denied environments. As a Robotics & Embedded Systems Engineer, you will own the hardware, embedded software, and onboard runtime that enables Spatial AI systems to operate reliably on drones, satellites, and autonomous vehicles in contested environments.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related technical field.
• Solid C/C++ and Python skills.
• Strong understanding of Linux internals including boot process, services and drivers.
• Experience with sensor integration and time synchronisation.
• Experience with containers, Linux networking and IPC.
• Ability to debug across hardware, software and timing using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Hands‑on hardware skills including soldering, wiring and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Integrate hardware components onto robotic and aerial platforms.
• Design and maintain precise time synchronisation across multiple sensors.
• Develop embedded Linux configurations and low-level software.
• Develop system services, IPC, logging and health monitoring for autonomous systems.
• Containerise software, build provisioning and update tooling for device fleets.
• Optimise deep learning models for embedded hardware and port to accelerators.
• Integrate with flight controllers, support field trials and drive design improvements.
