Job summary

The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire seeks a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Community Stroke Team. You will assess and treat stroke patients in the community, coordinate rehabilitation with the MDT, and supervise band 5–8 staff to ensure evidence-based practice and safe, effective care.

The role requires a car driver with a valid license for home visits, and you will travel across Northamptonshire delivering patient centred interventions and group sessions as needed.

Qualifications

• BSc Honours in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
• Evidence of stroke related CPD.
• Involvement in audit and promotion of evidence based practice.

Responsibilities

• Specialist autonomous practitioner for stroke rehabilitation in the community.
• Identify and implement appropriate intervention options with patient and carers.
• Provide training and advice on lifestyle changes and adaptations.
• Share records with MDT and ensure timely documentation.
• Lead and develop junior physiotherapists and rehab staff.
• Travel across Northamptonshire and deliver home-based care.
