Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is recruiting an Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 6) for Adult Mental Health on a part-time basis (22.5 hours/week) in North Wales. The role centres on delivering occupation-focused assessments and interventions, with opportunities to lead service development and mentor learners.

Applicants should hold HE qualification in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, and a commitment to CPD.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Postgraduate CPD relevant to the specialty area.
• Experience supervising students and contributing to education placements.
• Membership of a specialist interest group is desirable.
• Short courses at postgraduate diploma level are valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist caseload in adult mental health OT.
• Lead and supervise junior staff and support supervision.
• Contribute to service development, audits, and practice development.
• Deliver patient-centred assessments and interventions within the pathway.
