As a member of a Solutions Squad, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of autonomy solutions to customers. This fast-paced role offers exposure to all components of our architecture and requires broad robotics experience to design, implement, and deliver autonomous solutions.
The Solutions squad responsibilities include:
- Working with customers to define requirements
- Conducting technical gap analysis and generating new feature requests
- Developing safety cases, including route analysis, risk assessments, and operational procedures
- Vehicle acceptance testing and shakedown
- Commissioning, calibrating, deploying, and verifying compute, software, sensing, and networking systems
- Building, upgrading, and maintaining AV maps
- In-field AV monitoring, debugging, tuning, and post-mortem analysis
- Collaborating with the launch team to develop ongoing customer support plans
You will be accountable for:
- Generating technical roadmaps and ensuring end-to-end delivery of autonomy solutions
- Creating and maintaining documentation on software architecture, APIs, and decision flows
- Understanding customer use-cases and designing solutions accordingly
- Ensuring timely delivery through participation in sprint meetings and risk management
- Sharing knowledge within the team and deploying solutions in the field
Requirements
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor’s or MASc degree in computer science or robotics, or equivalent experience
- Experience in developing and delivering robotics systems in a commercial or industrial setting
- Experience interfacing with hardware, including deploying, configuring, debugging, and evaluating
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions
- Experience launching robotics/autonomous products
- Experience with project management tools for timely delivery
- Knowledge or experience with robotics components such as localization, mapping, planning, perception, ML/semantic understanding, control, sensing modalities, commissioning, and calibration
- Development skills in C++, Python, Linux, shell scripting, networking, and version control
- Engineering skills in systems integration, prototyping, V&V, and hardware configuration
