Job summary

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is seeking a paediatric physiotherapist to join the Children's Physiotherapy Team in the community. You will assess babies and children, provide interventions, and refer to other providers as needed, supporting service delivery and development.

You will work within a multi-agency setting with parents and educators, keep up with clinical developments, and contribute to supervision, CPD, and peer support as part of ongoing professional practice.

Responsibilities

• To provide, as an autonomous practitioner assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions for service users and to refer on to other providers as appropriate.
• To work as a member of the community Physiotherapy team and to contribute to its development and function (within the post holders sphere of competence) in any setting required by the service.
• To develop the post holders own professional practice by keeping abreast of clinical developments and responding to available evidence.
• To provide consultation, advice, education and training about Paediatric Physiotherapy within the multi-agency setting in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust provides community-based health services for adults and children in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and some services in surrounding areas too. These range from district nursing, health visiting and running four community hospitals through to providing very specialist community care through talented and dedicated staff.
