Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) in Cambridge is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a Band 5/6 development post in the Community team. The role offers a progression path from Band 5 to Band 6 after completing defined competencies within up to 12 months and includes a fixed part-time 33.5 hour week.

The post supports adults with severe affective and psychotic disorders within the Cambridge Adult Locality Team.

Qualifications

• Degree in OT or equivalent and HCPC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous practice within the Cambridge Adult Locality Team and manage your own caseload.
• Assess, plan and implement occupational therapy interventions for complex needs.
• Prioritise referrals, signpost appropriately and apply clinical reasoning to patient care.
• Supervise junior staff and ensure high-quality care by the Therapists.
