Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for flexible sessional work across primary care clinic settings in Usk. This role offers autonomous NP-led clinics within well-supported GP practices, with scope for minor illness assessments and routine primary care duties.

You will manage acute presentations, conduct routine assessments and contribute to day-to-day clinical operations, with clear clinical pathways to support safe practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Strong minor illness assessment and clinical evaluation skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different practice environments.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Run autonomous NP-led clinics in primary care.
• Manage minor illnesses and undifferentiated presentations.
• Conduct face-to-face and telephone triage.
• Prescribe safely within scope (if qualified).
• Complete clinical follow-up including results and medication queries.
• Maintain accurate digital clinical documentation.
