Job summary

North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Trust is recruiting an experienced First Contact Practitioner Physiotherapist in the Runcorn area. You will work across Halton Hospital, Halton Healthcare Hub and GP practices within the Runcorn Primary Care Network, integrating with the MSKCATS team to support patient care.

The post requires completion of Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the FCP Roadmap (or exemption via MSc or MACP). You will contribute to education, audits, and service development while providing expert

Qualifications

• Holds a physiotherapy degree and HCPC registration.
• Postgraduate MSK training is desirable.
• Completion of Stage 1 and Stage 2 of HEE Roadmap to Practice for FCP Physiotherapists or exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level assessment of patients with undiagnosed MSK conditions using advanced clinical reasoning.
• Offer patient-centred advice and signpost to services as appropriate.
• Refer for diagnostic investigations and plan management with outcomes.
• Deliver early self-care guidance and information on community services.
• Participate in MDT meetings, education of GP practice staff, and audits.
• Support pathway development and supervision of staff and students.
