Job summary

Locum Ready in Luton is seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to provide autonomous clinical care in a GP practice. The role offers flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care setting, with support from a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, conduct minor illness clinics, participate in prescribing and reviews, and document clearly to support high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7) or postgraduate level.
• V300 Independent Prescribing.
• Recent experience in primary or urgent care.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Familiar with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs
