Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Fleet Service and Maintenance Technician to maintain the safety, performance, and readiness of our autonomous vehicle fleet. You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and urgent repairs, collaborating with engineering, drivers and operations to keep autonomy moving forward.

The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, experience with diagnostic systems, and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Essential: relevant automotive servicing, diagnostics and repairs qualifications.
• Essential: provenVehicle Technician experience in fleet or automotive servicing.
• Essential: strong diagnostics using OEM or third‑party equipment.
• Essential: familiarity with mechanical and bodywork repairs using OEM manuals.
• Essential: comfortable using Word/Excel to track maintenance tasks.
• Essential: able to work with engineers, operations staff and drivers.
• Essential: solid workshop safety and compliance knowledge.
• Essential: UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Routine, preventative maintenance and service per guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Prepare vehicles for demonstrations ensuring reliability and cleanliness.
• Maintain workshop safety and regulatory compliance.
• Document faults, actions and parts used with digital tools.
• Provide feedback to Fleet Service Manager and Field Engineering squads.
• Engage with fleet drivers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
