Job summary

Trowbridge Health Centre is seeking a registered paramedic to work across face-to-face clinics, telephone consultations, and occasional home visits. You will assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients using clinical judgement, and maintain accurate records in this busy practice.

You will join the on-the-day emergency service and MDT, with access to duty teams and ongoing CPD. Applicants must have HCPC registration, at least three years post-registration, and an independent prescribing

Qualifications

To effectively and safely assess, plan and refer patients and evaluate care.
Experience with vulnerable patients.
Broad knowledge of common primary care conditions for adults and children.
Be a registered paramedic with HCPC registration.
Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience and independent prescribing qualification.
Post-qualification training in minor illness and injuries.
DBS check will be undertaken.

Responsibilities

Undertake consultations with patients as an autonomous practitioner and using own clinical judgement to diagnose, treat, refer and/or discharge patients.
Maintain accurate clinical records efficiently.
Make direct referrals within local pathways to primary, secondary and social services.
Support the on-the-day emergency patient service in the Practice.
Work as part of the MDT across the practice.
Promote health and well-being through health education.
