Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join the CAMHS service for 12 months, providing expert assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions for children and young people with complex mental health needs.

The postholder will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, supporting young people, families and carers, and contributing to risk management, consultation, teaching, audit and service development.

Qualifications

• Specialist-level mental health assessment and formulation for children and young people.
• Delivery of evidence-based interventions within CAMHS.
• Autonomous work within a multidisciplinary team and in collaboration with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed comprehensive written reports on a multi-disciplinary basis following assessments.
• Provide specialist nursing input regarding clinical policy, case management and individual care planning to other services.
• Deliver and develop specialised training regarding adolescent mental health to professionals and partner services.
• Contribute to service development, clinical policies and set clinical standards.
