Job summary

Zuma Labs is a disruptive technology startup building backend platforms for traders using Python, Django, Torch, and domain-specific languages. You’ll work directly with the founder and traders, gaining autonomy to shape features that directly impact users.

You’ll contribute to architecture decisions, implement scalable microservices, and collaborate with frontend, product, and trading teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python and Django.
• Proficiency with Torch/PyTorch for analytical workloads.
• Ability to design scalable backend systems and microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs powering Zuma’s platforms using Python, Django, Torch, and SGLang.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product teams, and traders to deliver features that directly impact real-world users.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and performant backend systems.
• Develop and maintain microservices, containerized applications, and supporting infrastructure.
• Solve complex problems with practical solutions and data-driven approaches.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and testing strategies.
• Identify performance or reliability bottlenecks and propose improvements.
