Job summary

Swadlincote Surgery invites an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join on a permanent basis for 1 day per week, with a start date ideally November/December. The practice is a long-established teaching site with a patient list of around 14,000 and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The ANP will work autonomously, diagnosing, managing, prescribing and discharging across all ages via face-to-face consultations, with opportunities to develop a specialist area of interest and contribute to ongoing

Qualifications

• Essential: Masters/Advanced Practice qualification and Independent Nurse Prescriber.
• Essential: Registered ANP at advanced level and minor illness qualification.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and commitment to lifelong learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop health promotion and wellbeing programmes.
• Manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions with expert guidance.
• Identify and support patients at risk of long-term conditions and prevent adverse outcomes.
• Provide advanced nursing care in line with evidence and NICE guidelines.
• Refer appropriately and liaise with external services as needed.
• Support safeguarding and ensure safe practice within the team.
