Job summary

Locum Ready in Stamford is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to deliver flexible, autonomous primary care sessions across regional clinics. You will run ANP-led clinics, manage acute and minor illnesses, and triage by telephone or face-to-face, prescribing within your scope.

Flexible, sessional bookings with ad-hoc or regular arrangements. DBS clearance and V300 prescribing are required to ensure safe, compliant care in multiple GP and community settings.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification is essential.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills.
• Confidence working autonomously in new environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Run autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Manage acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations.
• Conduct telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribe safely within scope of competence.
• Review results and follow-up actions.
• Record accurate clinical notes within the clinic’s digital systems.
