Job summary

IAA Holdings, LLC (IAA), a Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers company, is seeking a Yard Operative in Winsford. You will manage vehicles in the yard, prepare them for deliveries, collections, marketing, and storage, while maintaining safety and GDPR compliance.

The role involves outdoor work in all weathers, driving responsibilities, and basic IT for logging damages. On-site training with forklift may be provided and employee parking is available.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to record vehicle damage clearly in our system.
• Forklift experience is a plus, onsite training may be provided.
• Able to work as part of a team and communicate well.
• Good attention to detail and basic IT skills.
• Experience in a salvage site or motor vehicle environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day yard duties focusing on vehicle movement and organisation for deliveries, collections, marketing and storage.
• Clean vehicles as needed to ensure high quality images.
• Process logbooks, doc packs and keys in line with safety and GDPR requirements.
• Support GDPR and Salvage Personal Belongings team with compliance and SLAs.
• Maintain high standards of quality control with no damage to vehicles or parts.
• Liaise with customers or drivers during loading/unloading of vehicles.
• Meet and greet customers, arrange loading, and manage outstanding payments while ensuring proper PPE on site.
• Maintain neat and safe work area and support stock inventory processing.
• Destickering vehicles in line with client requirements and compliance.
