A specialist in automotive repairs is seeking a Warranty Repair Engineer to perform field-based repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems for HGVs. The successful candidate will ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy while providing exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates should have a mechanical background and flexibility to travel. This role offers a pay-rate of up to £20 an hour with a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with HGVs.
• Ideally hold a Class 1 License but not essential.

Job description

My client, a specialist in HGV Automotive repairs, is looking to recruit a Warranty Repair Engineer on a permanent basis.

The main focus of this role is to carry out Warranty Repairs on hydraulic, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems where you would be required to visit clients premises to carry out on-site repairs. You will provide technical expertise, diagnose faults and ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.

The main duties associated with the role include:

• Carry out field based repairs on HGV's
• Diagnose faults quickly and accurately
• Perform inspections in line with manufactures standards
• Conduct visual inspections, adjustments, testing, stripping, fitting and replacing components
• Provide exceptional customer services

As a suitable candidate you will offer the following:

• Flexibility to travel at short notice and long distances when required
• Commercial Vehicles Technician experience
• Mechanical background with knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and electrical systems
• Experience of working with HGV's
• Ideally hold a Class 1 License but not essential

The position is based on a 40 hour a week contract with overtime available, the pay-rate is up to £20 an hour.
