Job summary

Applus IDIADA is seeking a Workshop Technician for the Testing team at our Nuneaton office. You will support automotive testing activities in workshop and on road/test track environments, assisting with brake dynamometer setup, fixture fabrication, wiring, data acquisition, and test execution.

You will help maintain organisation in the workshop, support equipment upgrades and calibration, and contribute to a range of tests including Durability, Quality, Infotainment, Brakes and ADAS.

Qualifications

• Relevant automotive workshop experience is valued.
• Basic IT skills and ability to operate office applications.
• English language proficiency required for daily tasks.
• Full UK driving license required; travel may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering team with automotive testing project execution.
• Setup brake dynamometer, fixtures, wiring, and data acquisition.
• Perform test preparation, operation and follow procedures.
• Fabricate fixtures to support brake testing.
• Organize testing samples and maintain workshop order.
• Assist with test equipment upgrades, maintenance and calibration.
• Support diverse vehicle-based testing (Durability, Brakes, EV charging, ADAS).
• Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety policies.
