Job description

Position Responsibilities:

1. Safely rack and unrack customer vehicles, knowing procedures if a vehicle appears unsafe for the lift.
2. Inspect and repair vehicle automotive systems.
3. Remove and reinstall transmission systems of various makes and models.
4. Assist other technicians with technical activities as needed.
5. Perform general maintenance on motor vehicles, including brakes, fluids, suspension, and upkeep repairs.
6. Explain discovered problems during vehicle inspections to service writers and technicians.
7. Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, and repair techniques to improve skills.
8. Conduct daily inspections of work areas for improvements.
9. Maintain shop cleanliness.
10. Notify shop manager of stock or tool needs as they deplete.
11. Troubleshoot and conduct mechanical repairs; electrical troubleshooting is a plus.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum of 4+ years experience as a Builder/General Automotive Technician/R&R Tech.
2. Valid driver’s license.
3. Own professional-grade tools for general repairs and R&R.
4. Knowledge of shop tools and equipment safety.
5. Attention to detail and ability to identify additional needs during vehicle service.
6. Ability to lift or team lift heavy automotive components, or assess if a lift assistance is needed.
7. Consistent on-time attendance (8AM - 5PM or 7AM - 4PM, Monday to Friday; Saturdays as needed).
