Job summary

Waltham Forest College in London is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join the Automotive & Engineering team in a permanent, on-site role at Walthamstow. You will support the delivery of high-quality motor vehicle programmes in a modern workshop and help learners develop essential diagnostic and repair skills.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle maintenance and repair or automotive engineering, plus hands-on automotive experience and a solid grasp of health

Qualifications

  • A Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Recent experience working within the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repair procedures.
  • Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a workshop environment.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to supporting learners and delivering an outstanding student experience.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Automotive Technician to join our Automotive & Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Further Education College, supporting the delivery of high-quality motor vehicle programmes in a modern workshop environment.

Working alongside lecturers and students, you will play a key role in maintaining industry-standard facilities, preparing practical learning activities, and ensuring learners develop the technical skills required for successful careers within the automotive sector.
