Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking an Automotive Technical Trainer to join GTG Training’s team in Glasgow. The role involves training apprentices and commercial courses to industry‑accredited qualifications at GTG’s sector-leading training centres as they work towards recognised standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong automotive knowledge, including electrical diagnosis. Previous training experience is not required; a recognised Automotive Maintenance and Repair Level 3 Light Vehicle qualification

Qualifications

• Qualification in Automotive Maintenance and Repair Level 3 Light Vehicle or equivalent.
• Up-to-date knowledge of modern automotive technology.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure training reflects current industry methods, standards and technology.
• Apply diverse instructional methods to support varied learning styles.
• Carry out assessments and manage trainee documentation per policy.
• Keep technical skills up to date through CPD and industry trends.
• Deliver training in line with QA processes and health and safety obligations.
• Provide welfare support and guidance to apprentices and employers.
