We are recruiting for an Automotive Technical Support Engineer.

The Role

As an Automotive Technical Support Engineer, you will provide real-time automotive technical support to internal and external customers, aiming to reduce costs by enhancing repair rate capabilities through:

  • Driving success in Phone Fix within Rescue Service Delivery Contact Centres
  • Improving Roadside Repair rates across the UK with roadside technicians for Green Flag
  • Supporting Green Flag patrols with technical advice

Hours

35 hours per week, based in Leeds or Glasgow

Requirements

  • Motor experience in Repair & Diagnostics is essential

Responsibilities

  • Answering demand from the Rescue Service Delivery Contact Centre Advisors in Leeds and Glasgow, providing real-time diagnostics and advice over the phone
  • Leading and assisting Roadside Technicians in resolving vehicle faults using automotive technical information and diagnostics
  • Designing and developing a technical information platform accessible internally and externally
  • Validating and governing technical information received from technicians before publishing
  • Supporting the development of vehicle awareness training modules
  • Working independently to ensure world-class support and striving for continuous improvement to develop a Green Flag Technical Centre of excellence

Working Model

Hybrid working model combining home and office work, with most colleagues in the office 2 days a week. Flexible options are considered.
