Job summary

VIQU Limited is recruiting an Automotive Systems Design Engineer for a Warwickshire hybrid role. You will work across the full systems engineering lifecycle—from requirements to electrical architecture and validation—on complex vehicle platforms.

The role emphasizes end-to-end design, integration with Tier 1 components, and hands-on testing, with a preference for candidates with 3+ years of experience and a relevant engineering degree.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' relevant industrial engineering experience.
• Degree in a relevant engineering subject.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems.
• End-to-end experience across the full V-model.
• Experience with vehicle systems integration and electrical architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems engineering solutions for vehicle platforms.
• Capture stakeholder functions, features, regulations and standards.
• Develop and document system requirements.
• Create vehicle systems architectures and topologies.
• Lead integration across communication, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Integrate Tier 1 supplier components into vehicle platforms.
• Produce electrical interconnection schematic diagrams.
• Support vehicle start-up, commissioning and fault-finding.
• Contribute to DVP&R and system acceptance requirements.
• Support rig and vehicle-based validation and verification.
• Review test outputs against system and vehicle requirements.
• Produce supporting documentation for production and aftermarket teams.
