Job summary

G&P Quality Management Limited in Woking, Surrey, seeks an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to lead containment activities and drive supplier recovery, protecting production in a high‑performance automotive environment.

You will collaborate with Suppliers, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supplier Development and Quality teams to reduce quality escapes, implement robust corrective actions and monitor performance with PPAP, APQP and 8D problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, or Supplier Assurance within automotive manufacturing.
• Experience managing supplier containment activities, including CSL1 & CSL2.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and 8D problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier containment activities and reduce quality escapes.
• Drive supplier recovery through effective problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate CSL activities and containment exit with suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor supplier performance using quality metrics and trends.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone.
• Coordinate third-party sorting and containment providers.
• Report on supplier performance, risks, and recovery plans.
