Placements24 in Randburg, Gauteng is seeking an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to train in diagnosing, servicing and repairing vehicles in a modern workshop, under the guidance of certified technicians.

You will gain hands-on experience with a wide range of makes and models while learning diagnostic procedures, safety standards and customer service. Flexibility to work Saturdays is required; Matric with Math and Physical Science is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting senior technicians with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Performing routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Learning to use diagnostic equipment and software to identify vehicle issues.
• Acquiring skills in repairing braking systems, suspension, steering, and engine components.
• Participating in training sessions on new vehicle technologies and repair techniques.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment and service bay.
• Ensuring all repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Adhering to all dealership and manufacturer service procedures and safety protocols.
• Communicating effectively with service advisors and technicians regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
