Compensation and Hours

Depending on experience, our Automotive Service Technicians can make between $50,000 and $80,000 per year. We offer top of the line medical, dental, and vision insurance. Hours: Monday – Friday from 7:45AM – 5:30PM with up to a 1-hour lunch. We believe our employee’s weekends should be open to spend time with family and friends, that is why we are not open on the weekend.

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

• Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
• Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
• Performs further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured by our auto insurance.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
• Ability to read work orders.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASE Certification A1 through A8.
• Three to five years of related experience.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
