Job description

We are incredibly pleased to welcome you to Porsche Centre Silverstone. You will find us located 6 miles off the M1, junction 15A, along the A43 between Northampton and Milton Keynes. Our impressive showroom, spread across two floors, features both New and Porsche Approved Pre-Owned Cars. Our state-of-the-art facilities include a stylish customer waiting area with a coffee bar and barista-style coffee machine. Additionally, our Porsche Drivers Selection shop is situated downstairs, showcasing the latest Porsche-branded products. Our workshop is equipped with the latest Porsche technology, including 14 ramps, two direct dialogue bays, one MOT bay, and one wheel alignment bay. Visitors can expect a warm welcome, whether interested in purchasing a new or pre-owned Porsche or maintaining their current vehicle with us. Our dedicated and experienced team is here to assist you. Your early development is mapped through an apprenticeship journey focused on achieving an industry-recognised qualification. This serves as a foundation for future growth within the network, with opportunities to develop skills and move into new roles.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Learning to identify and locate automotive parts using electronic catalogues, manuals, and computer systems.
  • Assisting customers in-person, over the phone, and via email to fulfill parts requirements and inquiries.
  • Collaborating with service technicians and mechanics for accurate parts ordering and timely delivery.
  • Receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming parts shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
  • Maintaining inventory levels through monitoring, audits, and replenishment orders.
  • Using point-of-sale systems to process transactions, generate invoices, and manage customer accounts.
  • Providing product recommendations, technical advice, and pricing information.
  • Handling customer complaints professionally and striving for satisfactory resolutions.
  • Upholding company policies on sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Participating in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard

The programme lasts approximately 12-14 months, depending on the chosen career path, leading to a nationally recognised qualification. All apprentices are employed through the Dealer Network and attend week-long block training at our Porsche Training Centre in Slough. This training is complemented by coaching visits, virtual classroom sessions, and e-learning modules.

Please ensure you have copies of your GCSE, Scottish National (if applicable), and Functional Skills certificates, as they may be requested during the application process.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. All learners are required to work the minimum apprenticeship hours per week, with at least 20% allocated to off-the-job training.
