Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a skilled engineer to lead the paint process development and industrialization for new products on site. You will act as the main contact for paint-related changes in the production process, ensuring stable quality, performance and cost efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a engineering degree and 5+ years in automotive painting, with experience in project-based environments and OEM standards. English fluency and collaboration across functions are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Process Engineering, or comparable field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in painting, chemistry, or process engineering in automotive.
  • Experience in project organizations and working with OEM requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead paint process development to meet OEM quality specs.
  • Optimize paint consumption, scrap, and productivity to meet cost targets.
  • Coordinate and lead a team of process engineers and robot programmers.
  • Ensure paint process stability and conformity to specifications.
  • Support industrialization up to serial production (APQP).
  • Lead supplier activities and manage new materials integration.
  • Analyze deviations, implement corrective actions, and document learnings.
  • Drive productivity, cost reduction, and continuous improvement (Lean, Kaizen).
  • Ensure safety, health and environmental compliance.
