Job Summary:
Lead mechanical design, development, and validation of automotive exterior glazing (front/rear windscreen, door glass) and wiper systems from concept to SOP. Ensure compliance with functional, cost, weight, and quality targets while aligning with client technology roadmaps and industry advancements. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical design/development of glazing and wiper systems from concept through SOP.
• Define system specifications, test plans, and validation protocols to meet cost, weight, timing, and quality goals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, suppliers, clients) to deliver systems per functional requirements.
• Develop technology roadmaps for glazing/wiper systems in alignment with client needs and emerging technologies.
• Manage design resources and component suppliers to adhere to project timelines/milestones.
• Monitor engineering timelines, escalate critical issues, and present technical updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards for mechanical/electrical performance.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years leading glazing/wiper system development in automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers(#).
  • 10+ years in end-to-end automotive product development (2+ full product cycles).
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in glazing/wiper system specifications, manufacturing, and validation(#).
  • Proficient in CATIA V5 for mechanical design and analysis.
  • Strong grasp of system integration (mechanical + electrical/electronic components).
