Job summary

Multimatic in Cambridge (UK) is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing team, split between the UK and Canada. You will develop firmware for automotive ECUs, collaborating with a capable team and delivering robust solutions on-site in Cambridge.

The role covers requirements, design, embedded C implementation, unit testing and integration validation, with a focus on safety, MISRA C, and real-time systems. Join us to contribute to diverse projects and advance the portfolio.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent in Software/Computer/Control Engineering or equivalent.
  • Formal software development in aerospace, automotive or similar embedded environments.
  • Fluent in C for safety-critical embedded apps and MISRA C guidelines.
  • Experience with 32-bit CPU/interrupts/peripherals/realtime programming.
  • Understanding of compilers, linkers, makefiles and CI build systems.
  • Experience with Vector tools: VFlash, CANalyzer, CANoe.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR, MICROSAR, ETAS, DaVinci toolchain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded software for prototype and production systems per requirements.
  • Handle requirements elicitation, architecture and detailed design, embedded C implementation, unit testing and integration validation.
  • Support on-target validation, bench/HIL testing, and customer integration on-site.
