Job summary

Tata Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to be based at the client’s Gaydon office. The role focuses on developing, integrating and validating embedded automotive software applications that support vehicle functions, diagnostics and control behaviours.

Responsibilities include analysing requirements, implementing in C/C++, creating unit tests, and supporting SIL/HIL validations. Strong debugging, documentation, and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in software, electronics, control systems or automotive engineering.
• Embedded software development experience.
• Experience with requirements-based development, debugging and unit testing.
• Understanding of real-time embedded systems and vehicle communications.
• ASPICE and ISO 26262 awareness.
• Python scripting and automated testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyse software requirements and develop application-level designs.
• Implement embedded application software in C/C++ or model-based environments.
• Develop monitoring, state management, diagnostic and control functions.
• Create unit tests and support SIL and HIL validation.
• Integrate application software with platform services and interfaces.
• Debug defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain source code, configuration, traceability and technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and software quality activities.
• Support builds, releases and integration events.
