Job summary

Ripon Paint and Body, part of the Ripon Farm Services Group, is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform mechanical repairs and servicing on a range of vehicles. The role involves diagnosing issues with engine and electrical systems using computer-based diagnostic tools and ensuring accurate timekeeping and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair, and prior experience in a manufacture repair centre.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting a vehicle's engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately using diagnostic equipment.
• Accurately record time to complete jobs and complete documentation to required standard.
• IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or equivalent.
• Experience working in a manufacture repair centre.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical repairs for manufacturers, insurance companies and the public.
• Repair a variety of vehicles from the company fleet, including mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to accident damaged vehicles.
• Training will be provided to ensure compliance with repair approvals and support will be given.
