Job summary

Sandwell College seeks a lecturer in automotive body repair and/or paint refinishing. The role covers teaching current techniques, curriculum planning, and assessment within the Central Automotive Vehicle Body department in Sandwell.

Applicants should have strong body and paint industry experience and a Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification; a teaching qualification at Level 5 or willingness to work towards one is desirable and can affect salary bands.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle.
• Experience strong in the body and paint industry.
• Willingness to work towards Level 5 teaching qualification (or equivalent).
• Genuine passion for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Teach automotive body repair and/or paint refinishing using current industry practice.
• Create a positive, supportive learning environment and adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students reach their potential.
• Contribute to curriculum planning with colleagues and develop learning resources.
• Contribute to student assessment and help improve teaching quality.
