Automotive Auction Clerk – Fleet/Lease (Part-Time)

In this role, you will be a key player in our operations team, focused on delivering exceptional customer service and efficient administrative support. This role involves a blend of direct customer interaction, coordination with internal departments, and meticulous attention to detail, making it ideal for a proactive and service-oriented individual.

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00am - 5:00pm

What You Will Do:

  • Inventory Management
  • Confirming accuracy of inventory
  • Assuring new arrivals of commercial vehicles are inventoried immediately
  • AutoIMS support and communication
  • Communicate key estimates and facilitate locksmith scheduling
  • Manage repair orders, including presenting estimates to clients and communicating to repair center once approved
  • Assisting with redemptions, including scheduling and collection of any fees due
  • Consistently provide prompt and courteous service via email, phone, and in-person interactions, ensuring every customer experience is marked by friendliness and adherence to professional etiquette
  • Aid in the timely and accurate updating of vehicle condition reports (CRs) post-repair, ensuring that charges are posted and accurate, and that work orders are closed
  • Prepare and refine sale-day announcements, including managing updates for vehicle statuses and associated inspection fees
  • Address and help resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner, escalating serious issues to the Fleet Lease Supervisor
  • Act as a representative for absentee customers on our Sale Days, overseeing transactions per customer instructions
  • Propose improvements in customer services and procedures to the Fleet Lease Supervisor
  • Maintain effective communication with the Fleet Lease Supervisor. Oversee Fleet Lease Accounts, ensuring compliance with contracts and company policies, and assisting with corrective procedures.

What You Will Need:

  • High School diploma or GED, with a minimum of 1 year in a customer service-focused role
  • Prior clerical experience is highly regarded
  • Previous experience in an auction environment preferred
  • High proficiency in typing, communication, and email correspondence
  • Bilingual ability in Spanish and English is advantageous
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills required as position will include communication with commercial clients and redemption customers
