Placements24 is seeking a Production Team Lead to guide assembly operations in East London. This hands-on role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality automotive components while fostering a productive team environment.

You will lead an assembly line of operators, coach staff, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience and a solid understanding of automotive assembly processes.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in a supervisory role within automotive assembly or manufacturing.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Strong understanding of assembly line processes and automotive quality standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment in East London.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to maintain production records.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and guide a team of assembly line operators to meet daily production targets.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols and company procedures on the line.
• Monitor line performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to develop skills and best practices.
• Maintain accurate production records and assist with team performance reporting.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and other departments for smooth workflow and issue resolution.
• Facilitate effective communication between management and the assembly team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the assembly line.
• Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment.
