Automation Tester (Selenium)

6 Month contract initially

Based: Farnborough/Remote (Max 2 days per week onsite in Farnborough)

Rate: £380-£400 p/d (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and apply knowledge in test automation to make a significant contribution to the modernisation of the IT landscape through:
• Design and build test scenarios using requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain automated tests using Customer Group toolset.
• Record detailed test results and collaborate with agile team members as solutions are developed.
• Report defects and track defects to closure, escalating as appropriate.
• Perform all aspects of test verification, including environment management, functional and regression testing.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Ideally 3-5 years' experience in test automation, with experience in test automation, test-driven development, testing frameworks.
• Experience coding in one or more languages (specifically Python, .Net, and C#).
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, REST Assured.
• Experience in testing RESTful Services (including Swagger), SOAP Services, and web user interfaces.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration (Jenkins) & Source control, BitBucket.
• Proven experience in test execution, accurately documenting and reporting test results and defects to established standards.
• Experience working within an agile environment and familiarity with agile tools (JIRA / Confluence).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various IT teams and suppliers.
• Adaptability to change.
• Exposure to the Financial Services industry and mission-critical systems.
