Job Title: Test Automation Engineer

Location: Leeds, hybrid - You will be required to go to the Leeds office 1-2 days per week. Travel to other sites may also be necessary. Please discuss options with your recruiter.

Grade: GG10

What you'll be doing

• Analyzing test requirements, designing and producing reusable test scripts, and specifying environment, data, and tool requirements.
• Overcoming development obstacles to deliver quality testing on time.
• Reviewing test artifacts produced by peers.
• Reviewing test results and modifying the test suite as necessary.
• Defining and creating test cases from non-functional specifications.
• Designing and executing functional, performance, and security test scripts.
• Analyzing requirements for test automation, designing, and implementing technical solutions, and reviewing scope and execution of unit and integration tests.
• Working closely with engineers to ensure their work is testable and understood.
• Executing exploratory testing where scripted testing is inadequate.

Your skills and experiences

• Knowledge of API Testing (REST Assured).
• Experience with at least one automated testing tool (preferably Selenium WebDriver or Cucumber).
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience testing UI and large data sets.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.

Other desirable skills

• Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS, Postgres.
• Familiarity with BDD and TDD tools.
• Awareness of accessibility standards.
