Job summary

Automation Test Analyst role in Bath, offering hybrid working pattern (2 days in the office, 3 from home) within a growing QA function. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in software testing, with strong UI/API automation skills and a solid understanding of test planning and lifecycle.

The position requires who can contribute across UI, API, and performance testing in a collaborative development environment, with exposure to Jira/Confluence and test management platforms.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of software testing experience.
• Experience testing web-based applications.
• Experience with UI and/or API automation.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Selenium or similar.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Good understanding of test planning, test design and requirements.
• Strong SQL skills, ideally including SQL Server.
• Understanding of the full software development and testing lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience within financial services or a regulated environment.
• Exposure to Jira or Confluence.
• Experience with dedicated test management platforms.
• Experience integrating automated tests with wider development or reporting tools.
• Relevant degree or technical qualification.

I’m currently working with an organisation that is looking to add an Automation Test Analyst to its growing QA function. This is a great opportunity for an experienced tester who enjoys automation and wants to work across UI, API and performance testing within a collaborative development environment.

Location: Bath

Working pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 3 from home
