Pangea is seeking talented Software Engineers to join a leading financial services organisation focused on commodities trading. You will develop scalable automation to optimise trading workflows and own delivery of key tools, partnering with trading teams to map processes and capture requirements.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, problem solving, and applying modern front-end and cloud practices to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Front End development experience with React.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD practices, and front-end frameworks.
• Prior experience in commodities trading is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, high-performance automation applications to optimise trading workflows.
• Take ownership of the delivery, support, and maintenance of key tools to enhance business efficiency.
• Work directly with trading teams to map their workflows, capture business requirements, and highlight areas where processes can be optimised.
