Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd. represents an established engineering and manufacturing business in Shipley seeking a Software Engineer with strong electrical background to support automation development and optimisation.

The role focuses on PLC programming across Siemens, Allen-Bradley and Mitsubishi, on-site troubleshooting, commissioning, and robot integration. On-site work is required in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Strong electrical engineering background with degree or equivalent.
Proven experience developing and modifying PLC code on Siemens, Allen-Bradley and Mitsubishi platforms.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and control schematics.
Willingness to work on-site as required.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs across platforms (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve automation and control issues on customer sites.
Support commissioning, testing, and optimisation of automated machinery and production lines.
Work with industrial robots (ABB, Omron).
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and production teams to integrate hardware and software solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and system updates.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
