Automation Sales Manager

As part of the KION ITS UK&IR Intralogistics team, the main purpose of this role is to develop and grow the sales & service revenues of Intralogistics Solutions, specifically including AGV’s and AMRs. This role will be home-based, with significant UK travel and overnight stays as required.

2. Identify opportunities to expand and extend business, and serve clients exceptionally
3. Collaborate with the National Key Account and New Business Managers to promote and develop sales of AGV’s & AMRs
4. Manage tenders through to completion
5. Work closely with Automation Project Engineers
6. Coordinate with Project Managers & Robotic Application Engineers to ensure optimal route planning and appropriate technical solutions before order placement, and smooth handover after order receipt
7. Promote AGV’s within your designated region
8. Utilize and understand the flow plan development tool
9. Provide expert advice on Automation/Intralogistics to customers
10. Visit customer sites, develop solutions, prepare detailed proposals, and present solutions at all levels
11. Meet challenging sales targets
12. Perform ROI calculations at both detailed and overview levels
13. Understand solution-based selling techniques
14. Follow internal submission rules before presenting to the Leadership team and customers

Tasks and Qualifications:

1. Ideally possess a good understanding of AGV’s and solution-based selling; support will be provided to the right candidate
2. Proven sales record, preferably in sales development
3. Experience managing large tenders
4. Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels
5. Understanding of materials handling flows in warehouse operations
6. Experience creating and presenting proposals and PowerPoint presentations
7. Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels, both internally (e.g., Directors) and externally (e.g., customers)
8. Proficient in IT, including intermediate PowerPoint and Excel skills
9. Hold a full driving license
