Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking an Automation Engineering Health & Safety Advisor for our Carlsberg Britvic contract across Rugby and Lutterworth. This hands-on role focuses on managing H&S activities to meet statutory and company requirements, reporting to the Engineering Manager and liaising with the on-site health and safety team.

The position is full-time, Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00 with flexibility for night shifts.

Qualifications

NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) following CPD.
Warehouse, logistics or production background.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Knowledge of UK Health & Safety Legislation.

Responsibilities

Escalate/report accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards using site escalation process.
Assist Engineering managers in investigations of accidents/incidents/near misses.
Conduct health & safety compliance checks and audits for automation engineering functions.
Ensure actions are completed thoroughly and on time (Safe systems of work, contractor reviews).
Maintain and update H&S files; prepare monthly reports and slides for audits/meetings.
