Job summary

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, seeks an Automation Quotation Engineer to translate customer requirements into automation solutions and provide cost, scope, and schedule estimates. The role collaborates with Product Management and engineering teams in the UK or Krakow, and requires strong communication with customers across time zones.

You will educate customers on standard automation offerings, support sales, and develop independent estimates while aligning with Cytiva's Digital platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in automation/controls engineering.
• Experience with automation platforms (Rockwell, Emerson, Siemens, AVEVA PI/AVEVA System Platform).
• Familiar with Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP and OPC DA/UA.

The Automation Quotation Engineer is responsible for helping customers understand automation and digital solutions while supporting commercial teams throughout the sales process. This role translates customer requirements into standard or custom automation solutions, develops cost, scope, and schedule estimates, and maintains estimating tools and metrics. The position also provides customer feedback to Product Management and supports opportunities involving Cytiva's Intelligent Equipment portfolio. This position reports to the Director of Automation Solutions and is part of the Automation and Digital product management team located in UK or Krakow, Poland and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

• Educate customers on the design space for standard offerings of the Automation & Digital platforms to support customer needs, business goals and future states.
• Support the commercial sales team in translating customer needs into the Automation & Digital product offerings and custom projects
• Work as a bridge between customers and engineering teams across time zones, applying the correct Automation & Digital solution to customers' requirements
• Develop estimates for automation solutions independently or in conjunction with hardware teams, Product Management, and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or electrical engineering, or related field.
• Multiple years of experience working in automation/controls engineering.
• Experience with automation platforms such as Rockwell, Emerson, Siemens, AVEVA PI or AVEVA System Platform.
• Experience with different automation protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPC DA/UA
• Strong communication skills and comfortable working directly with customers

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel - 10%

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Electrical design work.
• Networking and cybersecurity.
• The Life Science industry, especially single-use bioreactors and mixers.
