Job summary

IBM in the UK is seeking a Quality Engineer with automation experience to design, implement, and maintain automated tests for UI, API, and integration testing. You will develop test scripts, support CI/CD, and collaborate with developers and DevOps to raise delivery quality.

You will use Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, RestAssured, and Postman, writing code in Java/JavaScript/Python/C#, and help establish testing best practices within Agile and containerized environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.
• Experience building automation for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with containerized environments like Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, performance, and API testing.
• Build automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and modern programming languages.
• Develop optimized test scenarios with full coverage aligned to acceptance criteria.
• Create automation for environment setup, test execution, and data management.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps collaboration.
• Contribute to quality engineering practices within Agile, DevOps, and containerized delivery.
• Monitor test results, troubleshoot failures, and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reliability.
• Participate in requirements analysis, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
• Drive adoption of automation tools, frameworks, and best practices.
