Job Title: Automation Maintenance Technician

Were offering an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-throughput logistics and distribution facility as an Automation Maintenance Technician. You'll be part of a team that keeps essential, time-critical operations running smoothly around the clock.

Automation Maintenance Technician Role:
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), operating within a flexible pool structure. Youll provide cover for other technicians during planned or unplanned absences. When not covering, your regular shift will typically be Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 15:00.
You must be prepared to rotate through the following shift types as needed:
  • Early: 06:30 15:00
  • Late: 14:00 22:20
  • Night: 22:00 06:40
  • Weekend cover: Saturday 06:30 18:00 | Sunday 06:00 19:00
Automation Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned, reactive, and condition-based maintenance on automation systems
  • Diagnose faults and resolve issues quickly to maintain performance and uptime
  • Work closely with engineering leads to improve equipment reliability and throughput
  • Support and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Record maintenance activity and equipment performance data accurately
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and engineering standards are upheld at all times
  • About You:
  • Qualified to at least ONC or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience maintaining automated or electro-mechanical equipment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Confident working independently or as part of a team
  • A full UK driving licence is required (occasional travel to other sites may be necessary)
