Job summary

Wills Consultants in Northamptonshire is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for an automated warehouse. You will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of fast-moving material handling equipment and for delivering preventative maintenance, fault rectification, and operational support.

The role requires ONC/HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical/PLC Engineering, PLC knowledge is advantageous, and ability to work at height.

Qualifications

ONC/HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or PLC Engineering
Cross training from Mechanical to Electrical Engineering
PLC knowledge advantageous
Health and Safety qualifications desirable
Experience with automated materials handling equipment
Ability to work at height
Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Deliver planned preventative maintenance and fault rectification for automated materials handling equipment
Identify and resolve issues and root causes in collaboration with customer operations
Log all activities per agreed method and communicate with the customer
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and submit proposals
Interact with the customer and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance across site operations
Work effectively as part of a team to meet targets and deadlines
